Nestled in the trees along the St. Johns river, the Rivertown Clubhouse was designed to bring waterfront recreation together with community amenities including barbecues, swimming, games and a cafe. The target market includes a wide range of residents from young families to active adults. We were challenged to design a clubhouse that is fresh and modern that can withstand the wear and tear of indoor/outdoor recreation. Designed with garage door walls that open to a large oasis pool, cabanas and boardwalk. High wood ceilings, saturated blue walls and fresh white paint welcome residents, and provide a casual environment for lunch, snacks or game of ping pong. All furnishings were constructed with indoor-outdoor fabrics for families going from pool to the café and can be stacked and stored for special events. A custom fabricated divider wall with silhouettes of the riverfront painted on the surface can roll into a variety of locations for banquets and special event planning. The back porch is furnished with comfy sofas and chairs for day or evening gatherings and leads to an adjacent game room filled with billiards, ping pong, shuffleboard and TV lounge area. And there are plenty of board games stored in barn-door style cabinets!
